In addition to doing stand-up improv and sketch comedy, Darin has a white belt in karate AND judo. He provided voice-over for multiple bit characters in a Thai martial arts movie where a major plot point hinged around getting menstrual blood from a virgin. Written under a pen name, his collection of comedic short stories -- Inorganic Chemistry and Other Dark Magic -- was the best new release in the "science humor" category of Amazon for about an hour in June of 2024.
He deeply regrets shoplifting the computer game Sorcerers Get All the Girls from a B. Dalton's bookstore in the 90s, but he was going through some stuff, and he's mostly okay now.
